CHIMPS, BIRDS AND GAME (4 Days)
Queen Elizabeth National Park (QE), below the famous Rwenzori mountains, is an African savannah park, consisting of plain surroundings. The park which is part of the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley, is centred around Lake Edward and Lake George. The launch trip along the Kazinga Channel linking these two lakes is especially good for viewing hippo, buffalo, elephant and a large host of birds amounting to over 500 species!

ITINERARY TO QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK - 4 DAYS TOUR
DAY 1
Arrive Entebbe airport. Meet, greet and transfer to Entebbe or Kampala for overnight.
DAY 2, Kampala to Queen Elizabeth Park
Drive on the southbound road; past captivating attractions en route: look at royal drum makers, brief stop at the Equator and be in both hemispheres at once, drive past the roadside markets aerated with fruit and vegetables. Continue to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving late afternoon, keeping an eye out for game. [Approximate driving time: 6 hours].
DAY 3, In Queen Elizabeth Park
Visit Kyambura gorge to track chimpanzees, man's closest relation. The launch trip along the Kazinga Channel is particularly rewarding for viewing a variety of game, especially hippo, buffalo, elephant and a vast array of birds. Time permitting an evening game drive on one of the tracks.
DAY 4, Return and fly out.
An early morning game drive. Return to Kampala, with lunch en route, arriving late afternoon (HB). [Approximate driving time: 6 hours]
See game, a vast array of birds on Kazinga Channel, enjoy the scenic views around the crater lakes area. Around Ishasha go on the hunt for the famous tree-climbing lions which lounge nonchalantly in the upper branches of high trees! The beautiful steeply forested Kyambura Gorge nearby, is home not only to chimpanzees but also the red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus and many bird species.
